Saudi Aramco Jubail Refinery Company (SASREF) is a Saudi company owned by Saudi Aramco, located in Jubail Industrial city. The refinery approached us with a complex set of requirements that needed correcting the following challenges:
- Paper-based asset maintenance and warehouse processes were disconnected, error-prone, and inefficient.
- Due to the critical nature of some assets like relief valves, the cost of one failure could run into millions of dollars to repair while also constituting a significant safety risk.
- Manual data entry for warehouse operations caused data inconsistency, lower productivity, higher risk of theft and critical equipment failure.
As an IT consultancy specialising in enterprise mobility and an SAP Gold Partner, we were eager to take on the challenge and collaborate with our client to help them achieve the following outcomes:
- SASREF’s asset maintenance for relief valves is now entirely paper-free.
- A complete audit trail is available for relief valve repair and maintenance – crucial for increasing the refinery’s output and minimising equipment downtime.
- Safety throughout the refinery is improved with timely maintenance of relief valves.
- Compliance and productivity for warehouse operations have increased.
Our experienced enterprise mobility consultants and SAP experts worked closely with SASREF’s stakeholders to identify their pain points and challenges. Our Digital Forms engine accelerator myForms for SAP Service and Asset Manager played a significant role. Thus, the solution – built using SAP’s innovative technologies – resulted in the following:
