- Confirm the environment is safe for the maintenance to proceed.
Only after these actions can the technician begin their work. Once the job is complete, the safety team returns to do final checks and reconnect the equipment to resume normal operations.
Historically, this process has not been well integrated with SAP systems. But with the Safety Technician persona now available in SSAM, all these tasks can be managed from a mobile device — within the same system used for asset and maintenance management.
