SAP has released its Q3 2025 updates for SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), bringing a host of new features across planning, modelling, analysis, and integration.
These updates are designed to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and make the platform even more intuitive for business users and analysts. At On Device Solutions, a trusted SAP Partner for many years, we’ve reviewed the highlights to show what they mean in practice for our SAP enterprise clients.
A Smarter Home Screen Experience
SAC’s home screen has been redesigned with greater personalisation in mind.
- Onboarding Card – direct access to guided tours and learning content to help users get up to speed quickly.
- Quick Actions – the ability to configure shortcuts for frequent tasks such as creating stories or models.
- “Just Ask” Search – powered by generative AI, this feature enables natural language queries, refining results with filters for faster insights.
- Resource Card – one-stop access to updates, community resources, and product roadmaps.
- Favourites Card – improved visibility of frequently accessed content, now with folder support.

Data modelling is more flexible than ever:
- Privacy Filters in the Modeler – view access restrictions directly within the modeller without switching roles.
- New Aggregation Types – “first,” “last,” and “average” exception aggregations now include unbooked values.
- Weighted Average Formula – simplifies scenarios like average pricing calculations without complex workarounds.
Planning Features for Greater Control
Several planning-focused enhancements have been rolled out:
- Audit Log Threshold Alerts – administrators can configure alerts when data change logs reach defined limits.
- Plan Entry Improvements – greater control over unbooked values, validation rules, and disaggregation, all integrated with new table settings.
- Leaf-Level Upload Enforcement – uploaded data can now be restricted to leaf members, reducing errors.
- Compass for Driver-Based Planning – define driver assumptions as relative ranges from baselines, with automatic conversion to absolute values.
- Multi-Action Enhancements – more flexibility in managing data actions and parameter selections.
- Version Management APIs – new scripting capabilities to create, modify, or undo version data changes.
Microsoft Office Add-In Enhancements
The SAP Analytics Cloud Microsoft Office integration continues to evolve:
