  1. Work Order Management:
  • Question: What happens if a technician rejects an operation?
  • Answer: If a technician rejects an operation, it will be removed from the app and unassigned in the backend. It can then be reassigned from the backend.

2. Parts and Inventory Management:

  • Question: When a CS order is created, materials usually need to be reserved from a central location for all central parts planning, as the technician who will carry out the order is not yet known, nor which van stock will be used. Once the order has been allocated using FSM/RSH, it is sent to the technician. The stock location in the order is still the central one. Does the SSAM van stock functionality allow the transfer of stock from central to the technician’s van stock and the update of the storage location in the order?
  • Answer: If the Central Storage Location (SLOC) is downloaded to SSAM, you can transfer from this location to the van stock. However, the SLOC on the component of the order cannot be changed within SSAM.

3. Team Assignment and Work Order Distribution:

  • Question: In a S/4HANA CS—FSM—SSAM scenario, if a team is assigned in FSM for a CS order, do all team members receive this work order as a standard configuration?
  • Answer: Typically, all team members assigned in FSM will receive the work order as part of the standard configuration.

4. Document Management:

  • Question: Can the attachments from FSM apps, like smart forms or service reports, be accessed via backend SAP? If yes, how?
  • Answer: FSM smart forms can be viewed in FSM. Service reports are attachments to the order and can be accessed via Document Management System (DMS) or Business Document Service (BDS), depending on document configuration.

5. Integration and Confirmation Processes:

  • Question: In CS S/4-FSM-SSAM, when confirming a work order, can one use FSM’s time journal functionality before sending the data to S/4?
  • Answer: SSAM will only update the SAP backend with the confirmations. The base integration would then be responsible for replicating this data to FSM.
  1. Ensuring Optimal Performance:
  • Question: Is it mandatory to have BAS to patch SSAM?
  • Answer: BAS is required if you need to make Mobile Development Kit (MDK) changes to the SSAM metadata.
  1. Seamless Integration:
  • Question: What is the latest guidance on SAP BTP integration vs FSM Cloud Connector?
  • Answer: BTP integration is used for S/4 Service scenarios. The FSM Cloud Connector, often referred to as the proaxia connector, is used for PM/CS order integration.
